Biblical Greek Lesson 1: Introduction to Greek (Hindi)

Welcome to the first lesson of our Biblical Greek in Hindi course. This course is designed for theology students, pastors, Bible teachers, seminary students, and anyone who wants to study the New Testament in its original language.

Many Christians read the Bible through translations, but the New Testament was originally written in Koine Greek. Learning Biblical Greek allows us to understand the text more deeply and appreciate details that are sometimes difficult to capture in translation.

In this introductory lesson, we discuss the purpose of the course, how students should prepare for their studies, and why it is important to keep notes and use study resources such as worksheets and PDFs. We also explore the different forms of Greek, including Koine Greek, Classical Greek, and Asiatic Greek, and briefly examine their historical background.

The lesson introduces the Greek alphabet and explains the difference between uncial (capital letter) and cursive (small letter) writing styles. These concepts provide a foundation for the lessons that follow.

By the end of this course, students will be able to read Greek, understand basic grammar, translate portions of the Greek New Testament, and pursue more advanced studies in Biblical languages.

In the next lesson, we will begin learning the 24 letters of the Greek alphabet, their pronunciation, and their English equivalents.

Watch the video above and start your journey into the language of the New Testament.
